I would really like to thank you for posting this....I am 4th year B.Sc (Hons) Biology & Chemistry student currently doing my dissertation on the Conservation needs of the ocellated skink in the Maltese Islands. As part of my dissertation we are to do a presentation on a similar topic and I chose conservation of Podarcis in the mediterranean. This article and the one with Profs P. J. Schembri (who happens to be one of my examiners)was really helpful to me and very interesting (and sad to read due to the extensive decline in Pfk population).

Many thanks again.
